WELCOMBE BEACH

Welcombe Beach is a little hard to find but repays the effort with its fascinating parallel rock ridges. For best results I chose a day when the ridges were partly uncovered by a falling tide at sunset. A wide angle lens emphasised perspective and a neutral density filter smoothed out waves, creating a soft effect that makes the protruding ridges stand out.
