GANNET COURTSHIP

Evening sun brings out superb colours in gannet plumage, which in harsh midday light can appear plain white. I like the near symmetry generated by this pair-bonding behaviour as their beaks touch. By adopting a low viewpoint, I avoided any background distractions and imaged the gannets against the contrasting colour of the sky.
