MOONLIT LIGHTHOUSE

Burnham on Sea lighthouse stands on the beach, supported on stilts above spring high tide level. To create a different image of this much-photographed subject, I used the light of a June full moon, a little after midnight. Including the distant lights of Cardiff reveals the image to have been made at night, as does movement in the clouds and a few star trails. I carefully selected a position that would give a refection of the lighthouse in a pool left by high tide a few hours earlier.
