BLACK-BROWED ALBATROSS IN FLIGHT

Albatross have a wingspan of 2m or more and can soar vast distances over the ocean. I watched them in flight from a clifftop nesting colony and noticed how they followed a regular route and turn by banking steeply. Predicting where the albatross was going to turn and keeping a central autofocus point over its head, I was able to make a portrait format image emphasising its huge wingspan and ocean-going lifestyle.
