WINTER AT NORDKAPP

Northern Norway has many isolated dwellings in remote locations, often used only in summer and inaccessible in winter. A few miles from mainland Europe's northernmost point, the houses in this image give scale to a huge landscape. Their isolation is emphasised by the deep, unmarked snow that surrounds them and the frozen fjord onto which they face.
