SARNES FJORD

By late winter in northern Norway, the sea starts to freeze in sheltered fjords. I saw this row of brightly coloured holiday cottages and then noticed the potential for a foreground of ice, left stranded by low tide and broken into patchwork blocks. The sun had already gone from the foreground so I made multiple exposures to capture the scene's dynamic range.
