REYNISFJARA BEACH

This storm-pounded beach is known for its "sneaker" waves that can snatch unwary visitors. Like all Iceland's beaches it comprises black volcanic sand. Snow was falling at the time of my visit, lightly dusting the beach, rocks and sea stacks.
