Winter Floods, Lacock
Winter 2013/14 saw exceptional rainfall. I made this image on Christmas Eve as the River Avon surged over the causeway at Lacock. Intrepid motorists were still trying to cross and the AA was doing brisk business rescuing cars with flooded engines. I chose a low viewpoint to capture turbulent water as my foreground and waited for a Range Rover to forge its way through the rising waters.
