Misty Beech Trees

Fog rapidly attenuates visibility, creating a strong sense of aerial perspective. In West Woods, a replanted ancient woodland, trees are all of similar age and size, so the sense of depth is enhanced by their trunks appearing both smaller and fainter as we look into the image.
