Last Light at Stourhead

Stourhead is photographed so frequently in autumn that it seems hard to create a striking image. Late on this November afternoon, the sky was heavily overcast, except in the south-west where the sun was shining brilliantly. The palette of colours had reached a peak I have never seen before nor since, all perfectly reflected in an absolutely tranquil lake.
