MAWDDACH ESTUARY
At low tide, the sinuous channel of the Mawddach Estuary in mid-Wales presents a beguiling view. The view from New Precipice Walk is straight down the estuary, looking south-west in the direction of winter sunset. Whilst I planned the shoot for low tide at sunset, the appearance of sun rays through gaps in the cloud accompanied by golden reflections in the water were pure serendipity.
