MISTY MORNING, DERWENTWATER

Still air, reflections and mist are the most sought after conditions for autumnal images of the Lake District. On this late October morning, it was an hour and a half after sunrise when the sun finally reached Derwentwater lake shore and a little mist rolled across the lake to soften the view of Catbells. I used a 10 stop neutral density filter to lengthen my shutter speed to 30 seconds, bringing out the reflection.
