THE DESERT RECLAIMS, KOLMANSKOP
Kolmanskop is a deserted diamond mining town in the desert of southern Namibia. Whn the diamonds ran out, the town was abandoned, to be reclaimed by shifting sand dunes. Many of the buildings, including luxurious houses, can be entered for photography. The best results are obtained working with reflected light rather than direct sunlight.
