BERROW WRECK AT SUNSET

The French barque SS Nornen was wrecked at Berrow in Somerset in 1897. One hundred and twenty-seven years later, the ribs of the vessel are still visible protruding from the sands of the Bristol Channel. I liked the scour patterns left by tidal currents swirling around the timbers and adopted a low shooting position to make them into bold leading lines. A glorious sky with the sun setting behind the hills of Exmoor completed the scene.
