PUFFIN WITH SAND EELS

It fascinates me how puffins can catch and hold so many sand eels. Having brought them back to land, they often sit for a while, as if displaying their prowess, before feeding them to their chicks. Using a 400mm lens, I was able to frame a close portrait of this Farne Island puffin with sunlight gleaming on his haul of fish.
