ARCTIC TERN ATTACKING

This image was taken by the same technique as the previous one but with the inclusion of some Farne Island landscape. It is unusual to photograph a bird in flight so close that a wide angle lens can be used, enabling the depth of field to extend to the background as well as the bird. In this particular shot, the tern is well positioned in relation to the footpath and the ruined pele tower.
