Pin Mill Wrecks

Beached many years ago, these boats are gradually decaying at Pin Mill in Suffolk. I timed my visit for high tide when they are surrounded by water and then waited for the tide to drop sufficiently that I could wade to my preferred shooting position. The subject is well-suited by an overcast sky and is rich in texture, hence I converted to monochrome. 30 seconds exposure with 10 stop ND filter. The filter smooths out movement in the water so it appears still but shows movement in clouds which appear more textured as a result.
