Midsummer Reverie, Calanais STones

Calanais Stone Circle on the Isle of Lewis was constructed between 2900 and 2600 BC and incorporates evidence of both solar and lunar alignments. A group of people gathered to watch midsummer sunset at 22.36 on 21 June. Because they were moving, I was not able to make multiple exposures for high dynamic range processing. This is therefore a single exposure of 1/160 second at F/16 and ISO 100 out of necessity. However, on reflection I liked the rim-lit silhouettes of people standing amongst the stones, lost in the moment.
