Mars and Jupiter over Glastonbury Tor

Four weeks after Jupiter’s Opposition (closest to Earth) and two weeks before that of Mars, both planets were shining brightly on one of the few clear evenings this winter. I made a sequence of 15-second exposures at f/2.8 over a couple of hours and selected the one in which the planets were pleasingly spaced either side of the tower. No torches were needed to make this photograph; St Michael’s tower is lit by light pollution from the town of Glastonbury behind me.
