Black Vulture in Flight

Black vultures are an endangered species which have recently been reintroduced to Bulgaria’s Rhodope Mountains. They fulfil a valuable role cleaning up carcasses of livestock and other animals that would otherwise be left to rot in the countryside. I pre-set an exposure of 1/1600 second at F/5.6 and ISO 2500 and waited for this vulture to take off, relying on the autofocusing capability of my Canon R5ii to track it.
