Dalmatian Pelicans at Sunrise

Dalmatian pelicans on Lake Kerkini in Greece have become habituated to hanging around fishing boats waiting for any fish to be thrown overboard. This group of eight were all looking expectantly upwards , as if welcoming the rising sun. I held the camera over the side of the boat to get a low shooting angle, having pre-set the exposure to retain detail in both highlights and shadows.
