Boreray, St Kilda

The most remote islands in the British Isles are the archipelago of St Kilda, 41 miles west of the Outer Hebrides.  This is Boreray, rising 384m out of the stormy North Atlantic, home to the largest seabird colony in British Isles.  After a 2.5 hour journey from Harris, I photographed Boreray from a boat as yet another weather system arrived, enveloping the summit in low cloud.  Much more atmospheric than the clear blue sky of the previous day.
