Photographing the Milky Way from the Giant's Playground. The iconic foregrounds and exceptionally dark foregrounds of southern Namibia are ideal for photographing the core of our galaxy, which is high in the sky during August evenings. Including a human figure gives scale, context and a focal point to the image.
