MILKY WAY OVER CLAVELL TOWER

The core of our Milky Way galaxy comes into view in the evening sky during August, low on the southern horizon. Dorset's Jurassic Coast is one of the best places to photograph it, looking out to sea where there is little light pollution. I waited until Jupiter was positioned right over Clavell Tower and made 46 exposures to capture as much light as possible and enable me to reduce digital noise in processing.

F/2, 20 seconds, ISO 3200, 46 light images and 8 dark images stacked.
