SNOW MOON, OKS FJORD

Alpenglow from scattering of sunlight in the atmosphere after sunset catches two mountain peaks as February's full moon (known as the "Snow Moon") rises behind them. The moon's reflection in the icy waters of Oks Fjord serves to anchor it as an integral part of the composition. I noticed this scene as I was driving from Tromso to the Lofoten Islands and made the image from the roadside.
