Devil’s Den at Dusk

Taken long after sunset, I made this image with a 30 second exposure. The stones of the Neolithic dolmen are lit by my torch whilst the clouds are illuminated by the bright lights of Swindon, 10 miles to the north and hidden by the intervening Marlborough Downs. The long exposure has picked up pleasing movement in the clouds together with bright stars where clear sky shows through.
