OGWEN VALLEY AND CWM IDWAL
Ogwen Valley and Cwm Idwal, viewed from the flank of this beautiful glaciated valley in Snowdonia. The Pinnacles at bottom left balance the imposing, snow-capped ridge of Tryfan at top right. My objective was to show the classic glacial geomorphology of the landscape, with the hanging valley of Cwm Idwal on the right above the deeper Ogwen Valley near the centre of the image. A fortuitous ribbon of afternoon sunlight connects the two.
