Jupiter, Saturn, Venus and Crescent Moon over Stonehenge

Understanding the Universe

Our perceptions of the Universe have changed enormously over the course of human history. Illustrated with stunning images of the night sky, this talk explains what we can deduce from historical records and prehistoric sites such as Stonehenge about the knowledge and astronomical interests of early civilisations.

Each talk comprises approximately 130 images and lasts approximately one hour. I bring my own high definition digital projector.
The fee per talk is £100 plus travel charged from Avebury at 45p/mile. All my presentations are also available by video link using Zoom, at the same fee with no travel cost.
