SGURR NAN GILLEAN
The impressive pyramidal peak of Sgurr nan Gillean lies at the northern end of Skye's Cuillin ridge. I made this photograph just after sunset from right outside the Sligachan Hotel. By retracting the legs of my tripod, I was able to include plenty of foreground interest and the pastel tones of the sky reflected in a pond.
