MISSING LINK ORCHID

I found this naturally occurring hybrid between man orchid (Orchis anthropophora) and monkey orchid (Orchis simia) on chalk downland in Hampshire. It possesses characters derived from both parents, whilst being more elegant than both. The figurines with arms and legs are intermediate between man and monkey, giving it the tongue-in-cheek name of "missing link orchid".
