SIDE PIKE AND LANGDALE PIKES

The Langdale Pikes are a distinctive mountain ridge with an impressively steep southern face. Blea Tarn is one of the most popular viewpoints but in the absence of a reflection I walked along the lower slopes of Lingmore Fell to bring these autumnal trees into the foreground. From here the mountains peep over the flank of Side Pike. It was a mostly overcast day so I waited until beams of sunlight caught the mountains and trees.
