OVERLOOKING PETRA
This superb viewpoint over one of Petra's best known monuments, The Treasury, is reached by a steep uphill climb. Bright overcast conditions were perfect, bringing out rich colour in the sandstone whilst avoiding harsh shadows. I asked a local Bedouin to pose on the cliff top for this photograph, giving a wonderful sense of perspective.
