COBBOLDS POINT

Art nouveau sea defence on Felixstowe beach in Suffolk. I first saw this unusual breakwater when working on coastal management at Cobbolds Point 25 years ago. A quarter of a century later I returned with a 10-stop neutral density filter. It was about an hour before high tide and waves were washing over the concrete blocks. A 15-second exposure smoothed out the motion of the water enabling the viewer to concentrate on the unusual structure.
