RISING TIDE AT BLACKCHURCH ROCK

As the tide rose I could not remain close to this striking natural pyramid, so I tried a more distant viewpoint using rock ridges as leading lines. A neutral density filter gave me a 30-second shutter speed, smoothing out the movement of the sea and thereby emphasising the strata. A little sunset colour in the sky completed my composition.
