GREAT SKUA REFLECTED

Great skuas are aggressive, predatory birds of the subarctic. I noticed this skua beside a small peat bog pool on the Shetland island of Unst and lay down on the ground to get a low shooting position that would enable me capture its reflection. As I did so, the skua momentarily displayed, creating the impression that it is admiring its own reflection.
