ARCTIC TERN DEFENDING TERRITORY
Arctic terns attack anyone approaching their nests on Inner Farne. I photographed with a wide angle lens as it swooped in to dive-bomb me. By manually setting the focus as well as the exposure, the depth of field enabled me to include the island's Pele Tower in the background.
