Cornish Aurora

The Northern Lights are rarely seen in southern England but this fantastic display was captured over Goonhilly Earth Station, near the southern tip of Cornwall, during my Milky Way and Cornwall Coast Landscape Astrophotography Tour on 23 April. The pillars of light were visible to the naked eye but the camera has really brought out the rich colours.
