Buttermere Mirror

The best reflections and most saturated colours I have ever seen at Buttermere, before sunrise on Day 3 of my second Lake District in Autumn Photography Tour. This is a stitched panorama of four overlapping frames taken with a 55mm lens. The scene lent itself to several alternative compositions using longer lenses, up to 300mm. I particularly liked the almost circular pattern on the left, the arrow formed by the reflected larch trees on the right, the pines against their mountain backdrop and the tony cottage as a focal point.
