MOON, VENUS AND INTERNATIONAL SPACE STATION

On this April evening, the crescent Moon lay close to Venus in the evening sky and the International Space Station passed close to both before traversing almost overhead. I chose my local village church, lit by torchlight, as my foreground to photograph the three brightest celestial bodies of the night sky. 33 consecutive 5-second frames captured the ISS trail against an almost dark sky, along with some of the brighter stars and the night side of the Moon.
