AURORA, SKAGSANDEN BEACH

Skagsandan Beach on Norway's Lofoten Islands faces due north and has become a popular location for watching aurora borealis. I arrived around 10pm and within a few minutes an auroral display was underway. I photographed from the beach using intertidal rocks as foreground, illuminated by an almost full moon.
