AURORA BOREALIS, BURNHAM OVERY STAITHE

The most spectacular display of Northern Lights I have seen in Britain occurred on 5 November 2023. I was in Norfolk and chose Burnham Overy Staithe as my viewpoint for a foreground of boats, the possibility of reflections in a tidal creek and the absence of light pollution looking north from the coast. A 20-second exposure gave the correct exposure and smoothed out the water whilst an absence of wind kept the boats acceptably sharp.
